Let's Active is an American rock band formed in Winston-Salem, NC by Mitch Easter (vocals/guitar) and Faye Hunter (vocals/bass) in 1981. Sara Romweber (drums) joined the band soon after. The trio were signed with I.R.S. Records and released their EP Afoot in 1983. They toured nationally and their first full length record Cypress was released in 1984. Sara left the band in 1984 following the UK tour with Echo and the Bunnymen. Faye left by 1985, but contributed bass to the second full length record, Big Plans for Everybody, released in 1986. With Sara's departure, Rob Ladd and Eric Marshall stepped in to play drums on a few tracks on Big Plans. Angie Carlson joined the band and added vocals, guitar and keyboard on the record.
The band's official line up changed when the third and final record, Every Dog Has His Day, was released in 1986. The lineup included Mitch Easter, Angie Carlson, Jon Heames on bass, and Eric Marshall on drums. The group disbanded in 1990.
Of the original lineup, Mitch is the only surviving member as Faye and Sara have sadly passed on.
In August 2014, Let's Active reformed to play at the Be Loud Sophie Foundation benefit show in Carrboro, NC. The lineup included Mitch Easter, Sara Romweber, and bassist Suzi Ziegler (former Game Theory bassist) to replace the late Faye Hunter (d.7/21/2013). Joining the trio were keyboardist Missy Thangs (No One Mind, Birds of Avalon) and former Let's Active touring musician and vocalist, Lynn Blakey (Glory Fountain, Tres Chicas).
November 29, 2025, Mitch Easter and Gang (Jon Heames, Shawn Lynch, and Michael Slawter) with Tammy Easter on background vocals and percussion and Jeffrey Dean Foster on background vocals, guitar and keyboard played select songs from the Let's Active discography at The Ramkat in Winston-Salem, NC. The show was billed to celebrate the remastered streaming release of the entire I.R.S. catalog. by way of SuperVisible Multi Media.
Bass Battery (Norwood Cheek and Rob Ladd) from Durham, NC opened.
